Forward won’t return to Man Utd following loan spell

Signe Bruun is not set to return Manchester United permanently following her loan spell in the WSL last season.

The forward joined Marc Skinner’s side from Lyon in January to much excitement, having won the Division One Feminine title with Paris Saint-Germain the previous campaign and been voted the 2021 Denmark Player of the Year.

However, she saw her time in Manchester disrupted by injury, featuring just five times in the WSL and failing to score.

According to the Daily Mail, United had been considering bringing Bruun back to Leigh Sports Village for the 2022/23 season, but she will not be returning.

The 24-year-old is under contract with Lyon until 2023, meaning United would have to pay a fee to secure her services on a permanent basis.
