Man appears in court after brother of Man Utd star Marcus Rashford ‘held at gunpoint in robbery’

A man appeared in court on Monday after a group of football agents were allegedly held at gunpoint in an armed robbery in Moss Side. Among those included Dane Rashford, the brother to Man United star Marcus Rashford.

Two men, Talleko Lemonious and Romario Harmer, were later charged by detectives. Mr Lemonious, has been charged with nine offences, including robbery and possession of a shotgun.

He appeared in court today (Monday March 21) following the alleged attack, which the court heard took place at the Little Rock restaurant in Moss Side back on January 12, 2019.

The 26-year-old appeared via video link before magistrates on Monday afternoon charged with five counts of robbery, two counts of possession of an Italian-made double-barrelled shotgun, unlawful possession of a baseball bat and possession of a machete in a public place.

Mr Lemonious, of Shady Lane, Wythenshawe, spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth in court. No pleas were entered at this stage.

The brothers of Marcus Rashford and his Liverpool counterpart Trent Alexander-Arnold were among the alleged victims in the attack, which happened whilst they were eating breakfast.

Mr Harmer previously appeared before magistrates on March 1 and will appear at Manchester Crown Court for a pre-trial hearing next month, on April 5. Mr Lemonious will next appear in Manchester Crown Court on April 25.
