Man Utd left-back Luke Shaw scores as England draw 3-3 with Germany at Wembley in UEFA Nations League

Luke, who laid on a glorious chance for Raheem Sterling in the goalless first half with a beautifully curled left-foot pass, has now netted three times in total for England after 22 games – a decent return for a defender.

His previous international goals came in a friendly win over Switzerland in March this year and, of course, against Italy in the final of a delayed Euro 2020 last summer.

Shaw and his United team-mate Maguire will now return to Carrington and prepare for Sunday’s derby against Manchester City. Our hosts have a fresh injury concern following the England game, after centre-back John Stones limped off with what appeared to be a hamstring injury in the first period and was replaced by fellow Blues defender Kyle Walker.
