Man Utd news: Gary Neville tells floundering boss Ten Hag how to emulate Sir Alex Ferguson | Football | Sport

“The work ethic is the thing. The only thing you can ever do in life is work as hard as you possibly can and never give in – he let us know that we had that choice, really simple. The talent, you’ve already got – work as hard as you can, never give in and come back tomorrow and do it again. That’s the secret, that’s what he believed.”

Ferguson retired as Man Utd boss in 2013 and a succession of esteemed managers have since tried and failed to replicate the team’s former glory. The latest candidate, Ten Hag, is said to be frustrated at the way his first few months in the job have turned out having walked into a series of complex problems.
