MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly set to BLOCK a transfer exit for Harry Maguire after Chelsea made a shock enquiry.
The Guardian claims Thomas Tuchel’s side are interested in signing the Red Devils captain this summer.
Chelsea’s top target remains Leicester’s Wesley Fofana.
But they have failed with two bids for the Frenchman.
And Leicester are demanding a whopping £85million to sell.
The Foxes’ position has seen Chelsea turn their attention to Maguire as an alternative.
The England defender has endured a poor start to the new season.
And reports claim he is set to be dropped for tomorrow’s clash against Liverpool.
However, Erik ten Hag has already confirmed Maguire will be United’s club captain this term.
And the Red Devils’ official position is that they are not looking to sell or loan him this summer.

Chelsea certainly looked like they could use Maguire in their squad.
They suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat at Leeds on Sunday.
And options at the back are light after Kalidou Koulibaly got himself sent off late on.
It means Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah are Chelsea’s only recognised centre-backs, with the latter hoping to leave for regular minutes elsewhere.
And Tuchel will be hoping to push through a deal for either Fofana or Maguire before Chelsea’s next game against Leicester.
