Rangnick offers insight into Ten Hag rebuild
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who will be in the United dugout for the final time this weekend, believes Ten Hag still has a core of players that he can build around next season.
The German has been outspoken since replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last year, previously suggesting it could take six years and as many as 10 players to compete with the league’s best.
But a more philosophical Rangnick, who is set for talks with Ten Hag next week, thinks there is plenty to work with for the new boss.
“I still strongly believe that there are a core of players that are top, that are well worth and good enough to play for this club and, hopefully, most of those players will still be here next season. If the board, Erik, the scouting department will help them with all the issues that I can bring in to help them.”
