There are updates on the futures of Raphinha, Karl Darlow and N’Golo Kante as Manchester United press forward with their summer transfer plans ahead of the window opening
Manchester United are expected to be busy this summer as Erik ten Hag finally takes control at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils are set to endure a campaign outside of the Champions League and need a number of recruits should they stand any chance of returning to the top table of European football. A number of players have, of course, already been linked with a switch to the club but as of yet they are yet to kick-off their summer business.
With that being said, Mirror Football takes a look at the latest transfer rumours coming out of Old Trafford with just a few weeks to go until the summer window officially gets underway.
Man United eye Raphinha hijack
Man United are reportedly set to compete with Spanish giants Barcelona for the signing of Leeds United winger Raphinha. The Brazilian has enjoyed an extremely profitable season at Elland Road this campaign despite the club’s troubles.
According to transfer expert Gianluigi Longari, Leeds have rejected the Catalan club’s first offer for Raphinha but there remains interest from elsewhere in the Premier League. As per the reports, Man United and Arsenal are both admirers of the winger and could potentially hijack Barcelona’s move.

Red Devils consider Kante swoop
Whilst United could potentially raid fierce rivals Leeds for one of their stars, they could also look to Chelsea for recruits. As per The Athletic, the Red Devils are actively considering a swoop for World Cup winner N’Golo Kante.
The club are in dire need of midfield additions ahead of next season with Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata all set to leave this summer. Kante is apparently a candidate to arrive despite doubts over his fitness issues over the past couple of seasons.
With his contract at Stamford Bridge set to expire next summer, there is hope that the Red Devils will be able to secure his services on a cut-price deal, although it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would be interested in selling.
Darlow swap deal offered
One of the players that could potentially be on the way out of Old Trafford this summer is Dean Henderson, with Newcastle reportedly close to agreeing a deal for his services.
His exit would leave the Red Devils low on goalkeeping options, especially as back-up Lee Grant has retired. Intriguingly, they could be offered a solution by Henderson’s potential future employers.
That is because The Sun reports Newcastle are considering offering Karl Darlow in a part-exchange deal.
