Manchester United’s Paul Pogba would prefer to join Real Madrid over Paris Saint-Germain next summer.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Defensa Central who report it’s Madrid’s intention to ‘find the best signings at zero cost’ by ‘taking advantage’ of players coming to the end of their contract and Los Blancos are believed to view Pogba as an ideal signing.
Pogba, 28, is in the final year of his deal at Old Trafford and foreign clubs are free to offer the Frenchman a pre-contract agreement in January if United don’t manage to safeguard his future in Manchester. Talks over a renewal are said to have made little progress.
The article also reaffirms those reports by suggesting that Pogba has actually informed United that he will not renew his contract and, if the midfielder does leave for pastures new next year, it’s also claimed that his agent Mino Raiola will demand a hefty windfall.
Manchester United enjoyed a sensational transfer window, securing the signings of Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and… oh, yes, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Raiola has often been outspoken on Pogba’s future across his time at United, much to the frustration of those at the club.
Despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently stating otherwise, The Mirror claim Anthony Martial – who is said to be ‘Joel Glazer’s golden boy’ in the article – has numbered days ahead of him at the club after Cristiano Ronaldo’s deadline day arrival.
Martial was linked with a late move to both PSG and Lyon, but neither transfer to Ligue 1 materialised
It’s reported Martial could now be shown the exit at United and that ‘Glazer would be in no position to intervene’.
