Manchester United moved back up to fourth in the table after they beat Brighton 2-0 in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
Brighton looked the better side throughout the first half but Ronaldo struck after the break to give United the lead.
That was Ronaldo’s first goal for six matches and his ninth in the league this season. The 37-year-old didn’t celebrate in his usual manner and looked more relieved as he ran into the corner after ending his longest goal drought for over a decade.
Brighton’s Lewis Dunk was sent off shortly after that goal and United searched for a second. Bruno Fernandes scored deep in stoppage time to make it two and the Reds moved up to fourth in the Premier League, moving above West Ham.
In other news, another report suggesting there is unrest in the United dressing room emerged yesterday.
