Manchester United handed Paul Pogba injury worry after Raphael Varane scare
Manchester United have been handed a fresh injury concern during the international break after Paul Pogba missed training, days after Raphael Varane was forced off against Ivory Coast.
Pogba, 29, only returned to first-team action against Burnley earlier this year after missing a number of months due to a thigh injury he suffered during a training camp with Didier Deschamps’ side in the October international break. On Sunday, he was forced out of training with a contusion in his left foot, although it’s not believed to be serious.
Central defender Varane, on the other hand, provided worry ahead of United’s important Premier League run-in when he left the action just before the hour-mark in Les Bleu’s 2-1 friendly win over Ivory Coast on Friday. Deschamps confirmed that the former Real Madrid man was forced off with a ‘small problem’ in his foot.
