OLYMPIACOS have joined the bidding war to sign Manchester United youngster Facundo Pellistri on loan, reports suggest.
United are reportedly looking to send Pellistri, 20, out on another loan spell as he doesn’t fit new manager Erik ten Hag’s squad.
And Greek outlet SportDay credit unnamed UK sources that claim the Greek champions have shown interest in the winger this summer.
It has also been claimed that the Piraeus outfit are one of three potential destinations for the Uruguay international.
However, Olympiacos face competition from teams in Italy and Portugal.
The 20-year-old has been touted by some to become a first-team player for the Red Devils in the near future.
The Uruguayan joined the Manchester giants for pre-season in the Far East and Australia.
Pellistri impressed in the second half of the 4-0 rout against rivals Liverpool in Bangkok two weeks ago.
The forward even scored the fourth to round off the pre-season performance.
But it seems like another loan stint is on the cards following a brief spell at Alaves last season where he registered 22 appearances across all competitions.

Olympiacos are looking to sign at least two wingers this summer in their bid to return to the Champions League.
Although the Greek giants are keen on Pellistri, they are also eyeing other players they could sign on a permanent deal.
The young Uruguayan joined United in 2020 following an €8.5million (£7.2m) deal with Penarol.
He hasn’t registered any senior appearances with the Red Devils but has amassed three goals and one assist in eight matches with the Under-23s.
