A video of Harry Maguire tearing it up on the left wing during his Leicester City days has gone viral on social media.
The centre-back has been heavily criticised by Manchester United fans and pundits alike following a series of unconvincing performances during the 2021-22 campaign so far.
There have even been suggestions that Maguire could be stripped of the Man Utd captaincy, although interim manager Ralf Rangnick has since confirmed that the 28-year-old will retain to the armband for the remainder of the season.
Signed for £80 million in the summer of 2019, Maguire has blown hot and cold for the Red Devils.
His performances this term, however, have often been very disappointing. Some believe that he’s suffering from a post-Euro 2020 hangover, while others feel he’s simply not good enough for Man Utd.
However, some of the criticism directed towards Maguire has been over the top at times. He’s a good Premier League central defender, as he proved during his two-year spell at Leicester, and is simply going through a bit of a difficult time of it right now.
Once he rediscovers his confidence, whether that’s under Rangnick or a different manager, there’s every chance that he’ll be back to his best.
Harry Maguire: Left-winger disguised as centre-back?
Amid all the talk about Maguire, an unexpected video titled ‘Hear me out Harry Maguire on the LW’ has gone viral on Twitter.
The defender, affectionately known as ‘Slabhead’, channelled his inner Ronaldinho with a mazy run for Leicester against Brighton in February 2019.
Maguire even threw in a cheeky step-over for good measure.

Let’s check out some of the best reaction:
One year later, in November 2020, Maguire again showed that he’s surprisingly decent on the left wing during England’s 4-0 win over Iceland at Wembley.
