Our prediction: Man Utd v Villarreal

This is a huge game and United need to offer up a major improvement on their recent performances.

Emery’s side will defend deep and be very organised and it’s up to United to break them down.

The atmosphere should be electric at Old Trafford and Cristiano Ronaldo could well make the difference – again.

This is an opportunity for United to show they’re a better side than they were in May, when Villarreal frustrated them in Gdansk, but it is unlikely to be a free-flowing game.

Our prediction: United 1-0 Villarreal
